I’ve been buying scratch posts for my cats from Felix since 1984, and I love the products – more importantly, my cats have all loved them. They are sturdy, attractive, and the scratching surface is tight and strong. The new post is beautiful – the photos don’t do it justice. I purchased one of the Xanadu posts, and it looks like a real piece of furniture. It’s become part of a step path to the window, and, when not being utilized by my feline masters, I can use it to rest a cup of tea while I read. Highly recommended!

This is the second tall scratching post we puchased from Felix. The first one outlasted the kitty. We bought the 2nd one last fall our our 2 month old kitten, and he’s gotten the hang of it. Felix Scratching Posts are the best freaking scratching posts ever. Period end of statement. These posts are the ‘bomb’ as they say. I promote The Felix Scratching Posts because they are wonderful and enticing to all cats. While I am not a paid spokesperson, I am a cat sitter and dog walker since the mid-1980s. I was one of the very first dog walkers in New York City and in the three decades+, I have taken care of thousands of cats I even managed to a pet supply store called Paw and Claw in the village. Everyone to whom I gave a cat post from Felix, sold one or suggested that they purchase one, never regretted it. As I write this, the original scratching posts I got from Felix are still used and still in great condition. I am going to buy a new one now. It has been, after all, over 30 years of life that I have gotten out of these posts. I need to point out that were used by three groups of cats and none of them got offended by any smells from previous cats. Maybe I was lucky in that, but my thinking is the grade A catnip infused sisal with the feel of the sisal, overcomes any objection a cat might have. They’re very much used, very much loved and still very sturdy. You get more than your bang-for-the-buck here. As someone has also pointed out, if you get a regular scratching post made of carpet, your cat will not know the difference between an approved carpet to scratch on and his post. They’re very reasonably priced and very very well made. You will never regret the decision to buy your cat a Felix Scratching Post. Every cat owner should have at least one. You will probably end up like me and have something that lasts for over 3 decades. How many things can you say that about? Except your weight, of course, which despite numerous attempts at dieting, never seems to go anywhere. Do yourself a favor and your cat a bigger favor. Felix Scratching Post all the way.

When I got my Ragdoll Oliver, I had ordered a variety of scratching posts so hopefully he would have one he liked and used instead of the furniture. This tall scratching post has been Oliver’s favorite from the very beginning and it is the only one he uses – every day, several times a day. I love that it is attractive enough to be in a living room and not look like cat furniture as it is lovely! It is very well made, but I am most impressed with the fact that the covering never shreds unlike every other cat scratching post I have ever tried! Oliver had his for over a year using it every day and it looked as good as the day I bought it. We recently lost our home in a fire, and I ordered another immediately so he wouldn’t be without his favorite scratching post! Best scratching post ever!

Ok, I know I’m crazy, but we have 9 cats and have been looking for a sturdy piece of cat furniture that won’t be torn up in 20 minutes. I honestly came across this site by accident and read the reviews and thought, “I’ve tried everything else, why not give this a chance…”. Well, the cats love it, my husband and I love it and best of all, no shredded carpet/ fluff/fibers!!! We bought 2 more. I wish I’d known about this company sooner. Good quality and inexpensive. You will pay more on sites like chewy, Petco, etc. and get very inferior quality. Felix cat trees are awesome.

This is the Rolls-Royce of scratching posts. (I bought this on Etsy in December 2022, and unfortunately my window to leave a review there elapsed.) It barely shows signs of wear, and holds up to my rambunctious 12-pound ragdoll. Perfect height for him to stretch out when scratching, and it doesn’t budge when he attacks it or jumps on top. As the expression goes, you get what you pay for, and this post is definitely worth the cost. Bought in the Xanadu finish—a classy, different look from the other posts on the market.
